Just after 8am today I did a live chat on the radio with presenter Liz Kershaw, this is now the second time Ive been on the station and she even remembered details from the last time I was on air! They are doing a day of features on the current price of petrol so wanted me on the show, it was an early start but definitely worth it as doing stuff for the media is good fun

BBC Midlands Today Appearance + Radio Shows

Last week started quietly, Monday was the normal boring beginning to the week. Monday evening I emailed the BBC about my website Save-Petrol. As a result by the end of the week I had been featured in a full report on BBC Midlands Today on Thursday May 1st and I also did two radio interviews with BBC C&W (wednesday morning) and BBC WM (thursday morning) lasting around 4 minutes each. All great experience and completely free exposure for me and my business…..awesome!

Although the newspaper features in March were great this makes them feel very insignificant in comparison, definitely a leap forward for me - onwards and upwards!

Latest-Football-News Sold To Smingle Ltd

Today I completed the sale of Latest-Football-News to a new UK based company called Smingle Ltd. Smingle have acquired the website and are a new business with plenty of ideas so no doubt it is in good hands. The sale of the website will save me time and allow me to focus more on the new developments of Multivitamin.co.uk and Paperback.co.uk, it is also a welcome input of cash to the bank balance.

I got a good price for the site and it was a straight forward deal, so definitely a good day for the whole business. And the sun is shining outside, woohoo!

Save-Petrol Featured In The Times Newspaper

After my name visited the homes of millions of Canadians the website has now been featured in the Times newspaper! On Thursday they printed an article called ‘Budget Survival Kit’, a guide on ways to save money after the chancellors exciting budget on Wednesday (yeah thanks for the rise in alcohol prices btw!)

Save-Petrol Featured In Canadian Newspaper!

In February I was contacted by a journalist from the ‘Globe & Mail’, this is the largest national newspaper in Canada! He wanted to chat to me about the website (save-petrol.co.uk) and my thoughts on reducing fuel consumption because he was writing an article on how European drivers and manufacturers are reducing the amount of petrol used. The article was published in March 2008 in the ‘Autos’ section of the paper, here is the online article:
